Isabel Greenberg’s graphic novel “The One Hundred Nights of Hero” centers on Kiddo, a young female god who creates Early Earth and observes humanity with fondness. However, her father, BirdMan, wishes for humans to worship him, leading to conflict over the nature of divine power versus love. The story shifts to a wager between two men, Manfred and Jerome, where Manfred must seduce Jerome’s chaste wife, Cherry, within 100 nights, or else face losing his own wife. Unbeknownst to them, Cherry loves her maid, Hero, and together they devise a plan to distract Manfred with nightly stories to shield Cherry from seduction.
